• where the cycle route along the Canal de Castilla crosses the Camino de Santiago
• which is end of stage from Castrojeriz to Frómista, and the start of stage Frómista to Carrión de los Condes

The albergue is situated in the center of Frómista, a nice little village which offers everything you need:

• a bank at 50m. from the albergue
•  a bakery
• restaurants
• medical centre
• farmacy
• postoffice
• supermarkets, butcher and fish shop 
• shop for construction and gardening materials
• a swimming pool in a nice park, which opens in July and August
• a trainstation (there is an intercity train from Palencia to Madrid which takes you there in 1,5 hours)
• bus to Palencia

The albergue is situated in a beautiful building, built around 1900, which you immediately notice when you enter the beautiful doors and take a look at the original stairs.

We left as much as possible in the original state, and decorated the albergue with colours and furniture that fits the building.

Pilgrims like to spend some time in their living room, for eating their dinner, talking to other pilgrims, writing their diary, or playing the piano.
